There was no honest playbook for building in Africa. So we wrote one.

Moti

Kenya · Mobility

Moti lets car owners in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu rent out a vehicle that would otherwise sit idle, to people who need one without the capital to own it. We built the measurement the team needed to prove its growth, then put that growth in front of investors.

The Challenge

Growth was real and nobody could prove it. The figures lived in different places, meant different things to different people, and fell apart under the first hard question from an investor.

Our Approach

We built a KPI framework tailored to the business, and the team implemented it themselves. Then a standing drill, every second meeting, in which the live figures were questioned the way an investor would question them, until the answers held.

Deliverables

A number a founder cannot defend is not a result. It is a liability with a decimal point.
