There was no honest playbook for building in Africa. So we wrote one.

Ace Mobility

Kenya · Accessible transport

Ace Mobility provides door-to-door transport for wheelchair users, people with limited mobility and the elderly, in a city where public transport assumes you can climb into it. We worked with the team on the tension at the centre of the business and built the measurement they still run today.

The Challenge

The rides that matter most are rarely the rides that pay best, and that tension was being resolved by accident, month after month.

Our Approach

We brought the trade-off into the open so it could be made on purpose, and built a measurement set the team could maintain without us.

Deliverables

A KPI framework, implemented by the team

An impact reporting structure, run monthly

A monthly newsletter for riders and partners

47 disability organisations approached as a named channel

the reporting we built together

When a business serves people the market has ignored, the hardest question is never the product. It is how honestly the company faces the trade-off it was built on.
